Come join us for worship, fun, food, fellowship and a Fourth Day Talk!

We are called to fellowship, to love one another, and to build up the Body of Christ. Join us at monthly Gatherings to see friends and make new ones, join in worship and communion and hear what God is doing in our community!

Please join us! Bring a dish to share at the potluck meal, your worship book and song book. Name tags a plus! Gatherings are open to everyone — invite a friend!

Gatherings – BVEC Bastrop Area

Members of the Brazos Valley Emmaus Community that live to the west of Bryan/College Station and near Bastrop, Texas, invite anyone and everyone to their monthly gatherings! Held at Life Family Bastrop Church, 1096 HW 71 W in Bastrop, TX. The meetings are on the third Saturday of the month from 6p – 8p. Join us for potluck supper, Praise & Worship, Communion, and small group time.

2025 Dates: March 15, May 17, June 21, July 19, Aug 16, Sept 20.

Host Church provides:
  • An area to host the potluck meal for 40-75 people. Decorating is up to you!
  • Paper goods (cups, plates, napkins, silverware, etc.)
  • Drinks (tea, lemonade, coffee, etc.)
  • Communion elements and set up alter
  • Arrange for offering, 4th day speaker, and music 
  • • Childcare is helpful for the Communion & Worship hour
Community Lay Director or Appointee provides:
  • Welcome, board report and announcements.
Community Spiritual Director or Appointee:
  • Direct the service with prayer, communion service, 4th day speaker, etc.
Music Director: 
  • Provide three opening songs for worship service, one song during communion, lead Amazing Grace to conclude service.
Community Training Director or Appointee:
  • Provide training segment, not more than 10 minutes, for Brazos Valley Emmaus Community each gathering.

Order of Service

  • 5 p.m. : Dinner & Fellowship
  • 6 p.m. : Community and Worship
Order of worship service:
  • Opening Songs (3) – An additional song during communion
  • Opening Prayer – By Invitation
  • Welcome/Announcements – Community Lay Director
  • Community Training
  • Communion Service
    • Begin communion service on page 26, then the 4th Day Speaker will speak in the sermon slot on the top of page 27.
  • Sing Sanctuary while circling up and sing Amazing Grace
